Malle Internship Program (8-12 Weeks)

Malle is seeking energetic, creative, entrepreneurial design interns for our fast-paced internship program. A key/solo project will be tailored to match the interns educational background and discipline, being run and completed by the intern over the 8-12 week period, in parallel with our collaborative studio projects. Applicants must have a keen interest in design, adventure, travel, moto/auto, fashion, production and entrepreneurial start-ups. Interns must be able to lead their own projects, meet studio deadlines and have a strong work ethic; to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in with the full Malle team on all aspects of the brand/business.

 

This roll will provide a unique and informative professional experience in a design-led, entrepreneurial and multi-faceted brand, where the intern will create a diverse body of creative work. Our focus at Malle is to create the highest quality British adventure products using noble materials and to enable more people to go out and explore the world around them. We work at the intersection of man and machine inspiring people to go further by land, sea and air. Through your creative work you will be assisting Malle in achieving this objective.

All travel and food expenses are covered during the internship program.

1. Product Design Intern – New York Studio

Applicants must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in design, graphic design, industrial design, product design or an associated creative discipline and will either be completing/completed their studies within the next/last 2 years. Applicants must have excellent sketching/drawing/communication skills with a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, with 3D/CAD & rendering experience a plus.

Your role will focus on design research, trend analysis, sketching, product concepting, prototyping and production. Which could range from design research, through to product and experiential design.

In short – if you want to create beautiful and intuitive products, this role is for you!

 

2. Graphic Design/Communications Intern – New York/London Studios

Applicants must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in design, communications, graphic design, product design, fashion or an associated creative discipline and will either be completing/completed their studies within the next/last 2 years. Applicants must have excellent sketching/drawing/communication skills with a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, with digital design & coding experience a plus.

Your role will focus on design research, trend analysis, branding and communication design. Which could range from artwork for print, film, ads, apparel, events and experiential design.

In short – if you want to create cutting edge and expressive designs, this role is for you!

3. Digital Design Intern – London Studio

Applicants must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in digital design, interaction design, communications, graphic design or an associated creative discipline and will either be completing/completed their studies within the next/last 2 years. Applicants must have excellent digital communication skills with a good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, with user experience & coding experience a plus.

Your role will focus on trend analysis, communication design, branding, e-commerce, social media and digital design. Which could range from artwork, through to online creative assets (film), digital experience, e-commerce and interaction design online and offline (events).

In short – if you want to create completely new digital experiences, this role is for you!

4. Business/Management Intern – London/New York Office

Applicants must have a degree in business studies or a BA in business. This role is suited to the more analytical  creative who has a fascination for business and management. The ideal applicant wants to learn more about the inner-workings of an influential start-up brand and work with the founders in developing new business ideas, business models and creating new business opportunities.

In short – if you have a fasciation and talent for business, marketing and retail and want to learn and influence the brand, this role is for you!

5. Events/Production Summer Intern – London (May-July & July-September) 

Applicants must have a background in the creative/arts and will either be completing/completed their studies within the next/last 2 years. Applicants must have excellent communication and time management skills and a keen interest on creating unique and diverse interactive experiences, from racing and retail to rally’s and pop-ups.

Your role will focus on the production of high-calibre events and unique interactive happenings, where there will be an online and offline component. You must have excellent organisational skills and be prepared to work with and manage multiple partners, creatives, vendors and event assets. But first and foremost you must have excellent people skills and know how to deliver a rich and personal experience.

Full Time/Freelance Positions:

Sales Director – London/New York

Over the last 5 years Malle has gone from strength to strength, we are seeking a sales director who can help the brand manage and grow the retail/wholesale side of the business. The ideal applicant will not only have excellent experience in this area, but have a unique insight into the world around Malle, new business opportunities and the premium retail space.

Press/PR Assistant – London/New York

We are contacted daily by the worlds press, but our small team cannot keep up with the requests. We are seeking the assistance of a press assistant who can aid us with launches, events and the management of top-tier press relations. This role is run on a project/freelance basis and is it expected that the relationship and work/demands will grow in parallel with the success of the business.
