The Great Malle Arctic Rally

The Great Malle Arctic Rally is our most ambitious Rally adventure to date, we have now set our sights on the mighty Nordkapp, located at the very-very Northern tip of mainland Europe, deep into the Arctic. The Arctic Rally adventure will set the 2000mile / 3500km motorcycle challenge, across the greatest landscapes in Scandinavia. From Copenhagen, Denmark, through Sweden, up into Norway and across the majestic Norwegian Fjords, past the Arctic Circle and right up to the Rally finish line at the end of mainland Europe, at Nordkapp / The North Cape / Davvenjárga (in Sami).

Over the last 7 years the Malle Rally riders have traversed every greatest landscape in Great Britain, ridden across the entirety of the Alps mountain range and now we seek to bring our community of daring riders together once again, for what will be the longest and greatest motorcycle rally ever attempted across Scandinavia and the Arctic.

Before each stage of The Arctic Rally, teams will join the Riders Briefing and are presented with the 5 rally checkpoints to guide the teams along the Arctic Rally route each day. With our dedicated marshals supporting and timing each stage, along with the Malle Rally crew. The Rally teams are then followed by our rally engineers and the support team at all times.

All riders stay in our luxurious Rally Belle tents, with the riders briefing and the dinner in the rally camp each night. On every night we’ll be in a different region of Scandinavia, with the local menu being designed to celebrate each unique terrain and terroir of the location – don’t worry it’s not all reindeer and schnapps! Our wild chefs will cook up a storm in the rally camp each evening and provide all food throughout the Arctic Rally experience.

Each rider is given their own ‘Malle Arctic Rally Duffel’ and Malle kit pre-event, with their rally number on it – so that all luggage is waiting in The Rally camp for the riders each night. We only transport what you can fit in your Malle Rally Duffel (65cm x 30cm x 30cm), anything else would need to be carried by you on your motorcycle.

THE RALLY PLAN

Riders will arrive in Copenhagen on Thursday evening for the first Riders Briefing, the Pre-Rally Dinner and the Pre-Party. For those riding to the start line, you will be able to park your motorcycles in the secure Parc-Fermé. For those riders who will be using our delivery service to deliver their motorcycle to the start line in Copenhagen from the UK / France / Holland / Germany, motorcycles will be waiting for you in the locked compound of the Parc-Fermé in Copenhagen, ready for the start-line departure on the Friday morning.

Over the last 7 years we’ve developed and refined the ‘Greatest (and longest) Motorcycle Rally experiences across 9 countries. Our aim is to enable each rider to focus purely on the rally experience together with their team-mates and friends, explore the very best of Scandinavia by motorcycle, surrounded by a host of daring adventurers, who all share the same thirst for adventure and a passion for motorcycles.

Our rally engineers, medics and support team follow the rally and support you at all times whenever you need. If you choose, we will deliver your motorcycle to the start line in Copenhagen and back from the Northern tip of Norway to Stockholm / Copenhagen / Hamburg / Eindhoven / Lille / UK.

Motorcycle Delivery

Some of us will have the time to ride to the start line in Copenhagen and back from the finish-line at Nordkapp via Alta Airport, but most of us won’t, Nordkapp is a very long way away. So that our riders can get into the greatest riding terrain faster, we’ve made it very simple for you to have your motorcycle delivered to the start and back from the finish line. You can select the most convenient collection and return point below. Please note that all motorcycle deliveries are based on a round-trip service, as our Rally lorries will be following the Rally route, starting in London , to the top of the Arctic and back again.

Motorcycle Rental

If you’re flying in from around the globe and require a rental motorcycle for this adventure, we offer the ‘Deluxe+’ option and have a range of great motorcycles available for you, you’ll need a full motorcycle license, with a minimum of 2 years on your clean license etc. These are rented from our EU partner and delivered to the start-line and returned from the finish-line. Select the Deluxe+ Rally Package.

The 2025 Arctic Rally Route

Stage 0 – Thursday evening the 7th of August – Rider-Registration: Riders check-in at The Rally Parc-Fermé in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark. Arriving in time for a good Pre-Rally party, dinner and the first Riders Briefing.

POST-RALLY – FLIGHTS FROM ALTA AIRPORT ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO OSLO/ WORLD. MOTORCYCLES LOADED THERE AND HEADING SOUTH TOWARDS LONDON.

POST RALLY – On Sunday the 17th of August – After a hearty Sami breakfast and maybe a last sauna and a cold dip, riders will take a relaxed 100km ride south, to our rally trucks at Alta Airport for 12pm, across the majestic and beautifully desolate Arctic landscape.

Then board a flight back home on Sunday afternoon, (flights are not included in the rally package and need to be booked by the rider – but we will connect you with our dedicated airline team). For those selecting our delivery service, Motorcycles will be arriving back in the UK on Friday the 22nd of August and to our optional European locations before then.

BUILDING A RALLY TEAM + ‘LONEWOLF’ RIDERS

There’s a reason motorcycle gangs are so popular, riding with a group/team of good friends is one of the best things you can ever do. Side by side, riding the entire length of Scandinavia and into the Arctic together, can you imagine anything greater?

Some riders enter the rally as a team, but the majority enter as a solo ‘LoneWolf’ rider and we help build the Rally teams, based on similar machinery, interests and hairstyles? Many great friendships have started in the rally teams and long may that continue!

With that said, The Great Malle Arctic Rally is a rally event where teams of 2-5+ riders will complete each stage starting and finishing as a team. The clock will start when all riders have crossed the start line and stops once the entire team has reached the checkpoint. Making sure no one’s left behind and the rally teams are there to support and look after each other.

WHICH MOTORCYCLE CAN I ENTER?
Any motorcycle really, but because of our dedicated and expert Rally engineers, if you wanted to bring something a little more inappropriate (a custom motorcycle, a classic or a cafe racer etc.), most welcome.

I’M A LONE WOLF AND WANT TO JOIN A TEAM, CAN I?
Absolutely, drop us a mail and we’ll fix you up with some adventurous ‘like-biked’ team mates.

WHY’S IT SO CHEAP?
It’s true other 2000+ mile rallies cost tens of thousands of pounds to enter, we’ve really tried to keep this accessible to all riders and all ages.

WHY’S IT SO EXPENSIVE?
The Great Malle Arctic Rally is a highly complicated logistical event involving hundreds of people supporting the rally from start to finish. With specialised kit, great food, remote luxury camping, mechanics, vehicle delivery, permits, medics, insurance, custom production, chefs, staff and Marshalls etc. all woking along a continuously moving 5000 mile rally route.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
We understand that life can change and plans can change before the Rally event. In the event of a cancellation 60 days prior to the event, we will be able to push your place to the next years rally. If you need to cancel within 30 days of the event, your Rally place is nonrefundable.

HOW TOUGH WILL THE RALLY BE?
The rally route is undoubtedly a long distance and it won’t be easy. But, with the rally route we’ve planned it’s spectacular riding through amazing scenery and your team can ride at their own pace and experience the greatest riding in Scandinavia. Plan accordingly, get some long distance practice in and prep your bike well.

HOW MANY HOURS/MILES WILL WE BE RIDING EACH DAY?
Expect to be riding around 250-300 miles per day (300 at the very maximum), which should about 6-8 hours of riding per stage, with breaks at each check point, the lunch break and we aim to have all riders back in camp by 6pm, for the riders dinner and the evening social/rally event.

No, but you could join us for the Pre-Party or the after party, drop us a note!

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON ROUTE?
We’ll all get a little wet. Prepare for all weather – in August, most likely it will be gorgeous weather and cooler in the evenings!

MY BIKE’S 70 YEARS OLD, WHAT HAPPENS IF IT CONKS OUT ON ROUTE?
Our mechanics team will be prepared and do their best and get you and your bike back on the road asap. In the event of the bike seriously giving up the ghost, you’ll have a few options: Stick your bike in one of our trucks, borrow a support bike, join your team (pillion) or join the rally marshal team for the remainder of the rally. We’ll do everything we can to get you across that finish line, with as much fun as possible!

I WANT TO ENTER MY VINTAGE RACE CAR, CAN I?
Maybe if it’s really special! Drop us a note, we don’t want to exclude anyone but this is predominantly a motorcycle rally.

IS THE RALLY ONLY FOR BRITISH RIDERS?
Definitely not! This is a unique chance for riders from all over the world to join together for a wild adventure together.

I’M JOINING FROM ABROAD, CAN I RENT A BIKE AND ENTER?
Yes, we have a few rental partners who rent great Royal Enfield’s, Triumphs, Ducati’s and BMW’s which will work well. The bike will be rented in the EU and then we’ll deliver it to the start line and back to our partner from the finish line. So it will cost you a little more to rent a bike for a week, but it will be worth it! Contact us to discuss options: arctic@mallelondon.com

I WANT TO RIDE TWO UP WITH MY PARTNER/FRIEND, CAN WE?
Absolutely, just register a ‘Pillion’ place for your team mate/partner.

WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE WILL BE IN THE RALLY?
The most fun loving, adventurous riders, on all sorts of ‘inappropriate’ motorcycles, the rally continues the DIY camaraderie and inclusive feel of The Malle Mile….but over 2000 miles.

WHEN’S THE DEADLINE TO ENTER THE RALLY?
We have a limited number of places, first come first served. Register your interest/place now to save disappointment.

WE’D LIKE TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY AT THE SAME TIME?
Absolutely! We can suggest a few of our partnering charities (like Movember), or raise for your own.

WILL THERE BE HOT SHOWERS IN THE WILD RALLY CAMPS?
There will be hot showers at every Rally camp and saunas at some too. For this event we’ve secured a brand new off-grid luxury multiple bay shower unit, that will be at each rally camp to prevent queues and to ensure hot showers throughout.

ANY EXTRA COSTS FOR FUEL ETC.?
The average bike will use about £200s worth of fuel for the entire course, depending on how you ride and the motorcycle type this cost will vary.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?
Just your fuel, drinks and your personal travel to/from the event start/finish line. But we will suggest the best travel/flights to/from the event.

Protecting The Arctic Environment

As part of Malle’s dedication to sustainable travel globally, we automatically offset the carbon footprint of each Rally participant. Planting trees with our charity partner The International Tree Foundation for each rider to off-set their travel, to and from the Rally and during the event. This is in parallel with Malle’s ‘One Bike One Tree’ initiative – planting trees for all guests of each Malle experience. The more we travel, the more we see of the world, the more we want to protect it. Planting forests for us to explore, now and for the future.
